Passengers and freight transportation in January-September 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2021, 45,5 million passengers were transported with public transport, with 13,9% more than in the similar period of 2020. The passengers turnover constituted 2578,9 million passenger-km, increasing with 43,8% compared to January-September 2020.

In January-September 2021 the railway, road, river and air transport enterprises transported 13,5 million tonnes of goods, a volume higher than that the one recorded in January-September 2020 with 14,0%. The turnover of goods totaled 3722,4 million tonnes-km, with 10,9% more compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
